In keeping with the Festival being on the last weekend of October, The Sydney Blues & Roots – Live in the Hawkesbury will this year take place on the weekend of 22, 23, 24, and 25 October 2015.
Held on the banks of the picturesque Hawkesbury River in the historic township of Windsor, this annual event is a ” must see ” for lovers of great heritage and established blues and roots acts, as well as a plethora of up and coming artists.
The Sydney Blues and Roots Festival is now in it’s seventh year and is widely acknowledged as one of the premier blues and roots festivals in N.S.W.
This year’s festival format has been structured differently due to tough economic times. The Sydney Blues and Roots Festival promoters have decided to ” throw the doors open” and make it FREE – with the exception of dinner / shows and the headline acts…….Yes, that’s right, FREE !!
This couldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the support of Hawkesbury City Council, Windsor Function Centre, Macquarie Arms Hotel, Fitzroy Hotel, Hawkesbury Hotel, Trentino’s Restaurant, Simons Cafe and The Hawkesbury Agricultural Society.
